25th November 2007Saxon 3 - 1 RealityAnother tasty encounter between rivals Reality and Saxon occured again on sunday 25th of November. Saxon started well and after just 10 minutes Matt Judge fired them into the lead, but was subbed 5 minutes later due to injury and was replaced but Chris Smith. With a few more rough tackles going in Ash Nunn was also injured and was brought off and replaced by Liam Swane. Saxon saw out the 1st half and went in 1-0 up at half time, the performance not really good enough and up to the usually high standards. Thanks to Adi with a few decent saves keeping us in the lead. Saxon went out in the 2nd half and pushed on and doubled their lead due to a nice cross from Joe Judge which found a rare headed goal from Liam Swane. Reality then pulled one back with 10 minutes to go and gave Saxon a slight scare, but it was just 5 minutes later when super-sub Dave Walford blasted a smashing header from Dave Ward's corner. That secured the 3 points and the double over the rivals Reality this season. Saxon also remain 2nd in the league just one point behind the leaders Corner Flag. Man of the match - 1st Jamie Hook Corner Flag at home next week in the Cup.
