9th December 2007Saxon Taverners vs Exiles FCWith Exiles being rock bottom of the league it would have been an upset for Saxon to lose, but it become even more unlikely as they only turned up with 8 players. So it was mainly about how many Saxon could score rather than the win. As expected it was a game full of chances and Saxon managed to convert 12 of their chances. Goals coming from Joe Judge 2, Matt Judge (still a virgin) 2, Stui Horton 2, Dave Walford, Glenn Bell, Liam Swane, Ashley Nunn, Chris Smith and Diddy Morris. The defence, having a steady game with little to do, Matt Brown also hitting the bar with a 30 yard effort also a highlight in the game. With this result Saxon are going into the new year top of the league and looking strong for the title! Roll on Division 1 opponents Irchester Romans next week in the cup.
