Saxon Taverners vs Irchester Romans

Away from the league Saxon are also still in some cups and today was expected to be a tough game playing a team from the league above.

Saxon started off well when Liam Swane put them into the lead with a neat little finish just 10 minutes in. Liam then made it 2-0 five minutes later with a quality over-head kick putting us into a strong position.

Went into the break 2-0 up with the boys fairly pleased with the performance, but it wasnt so good when the 2nd half began when Romans
pulled back a goal from a poorly defended corner.

But 10 minutes from the end Veteran Diddy stepped up to make the game safe with a very nice finish just inside the area.

Game could of consisted of a few more goals but the match was seen out and Saxon through to the next round to play Kweensway.
