Saxon 9 - 0 Ventura Vikings

Saxon Taverners moved to within a point of Division Two leaders Corner Flag as they recorded a more than emphatic 9-1 home win over Ventura Vikings.

Saxon started off  straight away when Matt Judge (Virgin) scored a simple tap in from the 6 yard box, then another 3 goals were added before half time with a double from Dan Harding (Danderson) and a Sporny free-kick from 25 yards by Dave Ward (Fatbrigas).

So it was 4-0 at half time and all the lads well up for making it more.

Saxon went out to the 2nd half and carried on from the 1st half, but didn't score another until 30 minutes from time when super sub James Anderson (Big Man) came on and scored a hattrick within 10 minutes of coming on to make it 7-0.

But Saxon still wasn't finished and a goal from Liam Swane (Swanechenko) set off a great celebration from the crowd and players. David Morris (Diddy) finished of the goal feast to make it 9-0, but there was some consolation for Vikings towards the end when Simon Gorton (The Egg) decided to foul the opposition in the box and award them a penalty which was converted.

Same team next week in the cup at Eastfield.
